RJCO love.
QMs! (minus Kenneth!)
TANBO :D
Tanbo J2s & Mdm Ng -- Attempt to spell tanbo :O

Life is sewing. Life is thinking about doing undone assignments, reports. Life is trying hard to make memories before I leave RJ. I don't really want to call it RI. -- This life takes its toll on me that sometimes I ask why I hang on. Yet, it is this life that has its tender moments, intricately woven in. These are memories that will last a lifetime.

I am sick again.

And as I head back to get a little mid-day nap after sleeping this much, you can read what I found when I chanced upon Titus' LJ:

"Turning Twenty-Three"
Anne Michaels

You turned twenty-two in the rain.
We walked in rubber boots
along Lowther, the shiny street as albumen
under streetlamps.

At midnight, the sky suddenly clear
we drove your jazz-filled car
through cold, pungent streets to the lake
where we collected stones by flashlight.
The wind wrapped us in its torsions,
we couldn't hear each other although we shouted,
wet with star-swallowing waves.

By morning the stones we'd found
were dull with air,
but I couldn't forget the smell
of the trees' intimate darkness
the scattered sound of the rain's distracted hands,
husks of buds in green pools on the sidewalks.

To love one person above all others
is despair, you said, turning twenty-two.
Propaganda of the senses, the narrow-minded heart.

We are magnets, averted
by our sameness.

Above the corrugated, elastic lake
the darkening sky holds out its arms.
A thousand miles away, you're turning twenty-three

I repeat your name, each time different
into sand, into moonlight.

Far off, the lake crumbles at its edges,
the sky holds out its arms.

LOGGING PEOPLE (:
Includes a number of others too just that they were probably busy logging! :D
Tanbo awesome blurriness (:

Concert is over. Humanz junior classes are off to Ophir. No lessons for the week.
It feels so surreal, like a forecast of the future. Half of 1B crowds round a long table in the middle of the library and get down to work. We talk, rant and mug; it's a starking contrast to the usual disparate ways we go amongst the busy life in school. I like (:
Life has seemingly came to a standstill -or so I thought- & I was proven wrong. Why.

CO Exco interviews. I think everyone, like really everyone (whose interview I was present for and actively bombarded), was really awesome. A truckload of hypothetical questions that I've not had any answers to -- they tackled in it 2 seconds. cool stuff (: Post interview was less than cool but I emerged alive. I give up calling life a trying time. I've probably irritated people but had I a second go at this, I would have done the same. To the least, I've pushed for people I believed in and whatever the outcome, it's time to move forward (:

By why do I think of Mr. Cellophane at this juncture?
Some friends are just totally fabulous. love. (:
Caught Chicago with Andrina. Student rates were really good because we got Cat 1 seats for a third of the original price (: The musical was mind-blowing. I liked Velma cause he character shone through totally -- very 1920s. Let's catch something else soon! :D

& of course Adelaine! Whom I met on the train when I was feeling really down. One of the most awesome friends -- I can't believe that we were actually laughing over the most banal manners like matrix determinants and chemical compounds' polarity. Thanks :D

3rd May: School Holiday, Labour Day Holiday in lieu

It's been two weeks since I've last posted something on this space. Life has been extremely busy yet fulfilling. Sleep was at the lowest of all priorities and I am amazed that I DID NOT FALL SICK! with 6 hours of sleep spread across 3 nights. I am awesome (:

CO Concert was a tying time, a test of friendship, time management and whatever else you say. It is during such circumstances that you see who are the ones who will slog with you / for you till the end, such as (but not limited to)
Jasselyn - beyond handling stuff in your comm, I really appreciate how you came by to help logs in stage stuff & being there when ever we needed you (:

Kenneth Sng Zheng Eugene Wenyun & all in logs comm - you all were beyond awesome (: I guess we're one massive group of people who sent many emails, met up, talked, worked, drew plans, executed them without conflict. It's been a pleasure working with you all! :D

LiHan Vianne - who came by every practise to motivate the orchestra to go on and setting the right direction & attitude for us to move towards (:

Hubert - your motivating smses surely shaped how tanbo viewed the concert & you were great in staying back with the ruans to help us with the messy bits!

Yiusum Kwangyi LuShuang ChenHe Susan LiChing MunFoong - I am really moved that you are willing to stay back and perfect your parts, sometimes texting me for the key so that we can have extra practise beyond the regular sessions in order to catch up on areas that we're uncertain of. While the ruans comprise of people who didn't know each other prior to the joining of rjco this year, I'm really proud that we still managed to gel together like meal times, camwhore moments, concert prac etc (:

Huiwen - the one and only person who stood(sat) with me in CO from day one till the very end. love. seems not too long ago that we just joined co, very very blur, not knowing how to play the ruan, getting arrowed numerous times for extra practise, times of falling sick, running in for practise, ordering and sharing dinner, talking, mugging, math lecture days.. you were always there for me (: I really appreciate all that you've done although I show less of what I really feel. Your presence always reminds me of the space I've got in tanbo, that I've got a friend there for me. thanks!

Lim Qian- probably one of the most attentive person to other people's needs, speaking to people round co and trying to make all of us feel at home, and have a listening ear each time we're feeling down. From skipping practises to staying back to help others, you've came pretty far in a short span of time. I'm really glad that you're here for all of us (:

Simei - thank you for sharing your dinner with me (: you've been awesomely dedicated to all the ticketing matters, sorting everything out, helping to source of FOH helpers, transposing scores from day one and persevering till the end! Without you we wouldn't have came so far (:

BL - you were like da bomb for always motivating us, checking if we're okay, writing scores, editing and even playing for us. thanks!

Kendra Rich - Your help at the booth was indispensible! & thanks for staying longer that what I said you all had to (:

JoeyBimb Cherise Nelson Junsean LiHui Jacky Jingyi Eunice- thanks for being really supportive of the concert even when there seems to be no one coming at first, for still getting tickets even though you all were uncertain if there'll be people to watch it with you all. you've been great motivation for us (:

people who do not give up on you even if your skills kind of total suck, try their best to help you by going through the scores over and over during breaks and even

SAT. I fell asleep halfway, got up & moved on.

RProject Photoshoot was anxiety-inducing because I was not well-prepared. Stood in the washroom and sewed for an hour, walked out kicked the cemented curb while wearing slippers & fell over twice): I have no photos but the photographers were really awesome, models were very patient and talented! tyvm! There is a whole lot of refining to to, sewing, stitching and resizing but we'll get through this! Thanks for standing by me (:

Snap back to life. I feel like reading Thom Gunn's poetry but I forgot to bring it out ):
