Chinese Orchestra Concert has ended. I won't say it was the best but we tried for two weeks to make this work. I am pretty glad that there's full house, dad and mum came too, alongside others like Joey, Kendra, WanEr, Serene, XinMin etc. Thank you!

Over the past two weeks, esp to the tanbo people:
Thanks for being ever willing to go through the scores with me time and again!

I know the emceeing was kind of bad, I'll try to improve on it next time (:
Sigh, I am somewhat reluctant to upload the rest of the photos because I think I look hideous. I never noticed how white/ uneven my makeup looked until I saw the photos. How ):

Ok, Reality check, Research Planning is due in a matter of hours. I am meeting Joey within the next hour for RProject at 72-13. So I'll be off for now (:
EDIT: I AM BACK (:
My tablet died on me this morning ): I thought it gave it to old age until I checked with dad and I think he messed it up a little somehow. Nevermind for now, I am using mummy's lappy. However, there is a problem. The newer version of MSN Messenger isn't working out for me and I can't sign in. Therefore, do catch me on Google Talk / Facebook Chat for these few days.
I think Daddy's going to get me another during PC Show but I want to find my own (ie have a say, because I have never believed that computers are merely functional instead of artistic). Sadly, I think he'll just buy one and put it in my room when I get home-.- It's all right, I'll go myself on day one Haha :D

five days were quick to pass,
Chinese Orchestra concert would be starting in a matter of 20 odd hours.
Imperfections still exist and I'll be reaching early again for practise in the morning.

Well you see, fridays.
With GP and Lit Consultation cancelled, my break time totalled to a whooping 4 hours.
I was lying in bed at seven this morning contemplating if I should go to school since math is at 1.30pm & to begin with, I don't think I'll pay attention anyway.

You'll think I had skipped school, or probably merely turned up for CCA.
But I reached at 7:38am. Why.

Because of a friend, I was motivated to go to school.
Because you see your friend wanting to come, but is forced to stay home; & there you are lazing at home when you can go. Although I think I kind of ended up talking, catching up with PW people for 4 hours, although I don't really understand math, I was happy that I made the decision to go. I know this isn't an idea that can be reconciled with easily but that's just my two cents worth of thoughts. (:

SIGCSC
RJCO Tanbo Dinner at Cafe Cartel.

Rugby ADiv Finals. We weren't the ones playing of course(: Match support Haha.
There are many more brilliant pictures Pearl took, which are up on facebook. (:
29th Student Council Investiture. Our view was kind of bad because it was from the gallery. I miss days when we sat down stairs with HH04 :D
RJCO Concert tickets have officially been SOLD OUT more than a week before it starts(: I'll figure out the tricky parts somehow, definitely before the concert haha.
Despite having zero replies to my Gavel Club yahoogroups post, I am glad about SIGCSC today(:
1) I saw Min Ying :D It's been a long time since I've last seen her, let alone catch up with her. Congrats and the double first btw :D
2) We didn't come home empty-handed. Jacky and I got 1st-Runners for our own catergories (:
3) Marcus KunHang Lavanya Prajwala (&friend, sorry I don't know your name :x) and Ms Lim came to support us, they were awesome(: Photos are up :D

Mid Week Update
Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 5/20/2009 09:15:00 PM
I figured that with so many things in mind, I can only blog in chonological order.

Over the past 3 days - CSE Class Test and Chinese Common Test are OVERoverOVERoverOVERRRR :D We kind of got displaced from our 'home room' because of all the common tests which (I haven't any idea why SR3 / 4 aren't used instead lol) & we ended up crashing upstairs. Good and bad but anyway we're still going back to SR2 tomorrow, so I don't suppose it's much of an issue. JunYong's back in school, which is nice. (: YiFei, Sorry about the complications with tickets ): Jiayou for College Play! :D Happy 17th Birthday Nicholas Chee, my ex-gavel friend/ current humans friend :D

PW hasn't gotten anywhere yet. Ever since we realised GPP has been approved, dingdings have yet to proceed on with Research Planning, probably just a week's break before we get bugged with deadlines again Haha

Friday - Rugby Match Support anyone? :D I kind of want to go.

Saturday -SIGCSC! Come at Support me at Queensway Sec, 9am to 11am :D

Much ado about nothing

Awesome :D
Humour was appropriately used and shakespearean language wasn't all that hard to understand. Thumbs up! Except that 1B brought a tiny mat and we ended up crashing with 1A. Thanks btw & sorry to make you guys squeeze :O
Nevertheless it was still picture perfect (though I didn't bring my camera) except for the sausage sauce that flowed down Haha. Pearl I hope you're all right (:

It's kind of hard to reconcile with the idea that school starts that early tomorrow and that I've not done any homework. What a bad realisation at this hour, especially after knowing how some people having been mugging like mad for chinese this wednesday. Sigh, I am not prepared :x

Feels really awkward when CCA schedules are clashing again, when everything just started to seem fine. I think I haven't been going enough for debates, which isn't at all good.

I really want to go on a cruise.
Saturday, May 16, 2009, 5/16/2009 03:51:00 PM
I just finished reading Going Too Far. The storyline is not bad but I think it lacks a certain degree of depth though.

Stop telling me that I should feel sad because I cannot remember when was the last time I finished reading a book at leisure. I am done with one now and there's more to come I suppose. I assume the last time I did so, was in secondary two. Gone with time, were the final days that I didn't have to mug for exams or stay out late for ccas. It probably is a matter of prioritising, which hasn't been something that I've excelled in. Half the time things went in the way I felt like while there were the "go by the rules" days too.

Anyway I just feel that life in this concrete jungle with way to many expections isn't all that life is about. If economics trip gets cancelled, I'll go on a cruise. I'll love to hear the waves splashing, it kind of takes my mind of random things that has been clogging it up.

Does anyone want to go for Chinese Orchestra Concert? (:
30May, RJ Performing Arts Centre, $6 only!
The orchestra would be playing the SYF choice piece (梅花吟), 骏马奔驰, Phantom of the Opera; while each section would play you a piece too! Don't worry it's not going to be a massively cheena thing, in case you think you're not the chinese-y kind. Rather,it'll be a night of melodious music esp you probably don't always see the entire orchestra performing together for concerts(:
Call or msn for tickets (:

AMK MRT
Wednesday, May 13, 2009, 5/13/2009 10:52:00 PM

In comparison to peaceful Bishan St 21.
I was caught unaware by the temporary suspension of MRT service between angmokio and yishun, which made up the bulk of my journey home. Well actually despite the delay in time that I reached home, minus the fact that my plans to cook dinner was foiled ( I succeeded yesterday btw; spaghetti, idiot-proof as junyong puts it:). It wasn't that bad because I met QianYi and FangYu (:

Though I didn't manage to catch up much with QianYi since dad was reaching, it's nice to meet them after so long(: Happy 17th Birthday FangYu!

It is really much ado about nothing. You try so hard and get back to where you've started off. Evelyn, is this worth it & what are your priorities?
I believe I haven't mentioned that I dropped out of Lit week preparations because of various reasons, for me to know, not for you to find out. There comes a time where I think it's somewhat essential to decide what's more important and what's less. It's never good to bite off more than you can swallow. I've been living in this overwhelming pit for the past 2 years and it should be now where I put this to an end.(:

School wasn't really just school

For the first time I wore spectacles to school, I was in a hurry after finishing up on literature essay. I figured that I shouldn't attempt to wake up early to do homework or I somehow would just be really sleepy for the rest of the day. Phew, CSE test is postponed.

Days without Chinese Orchestra, are days I get to go home before the sun sets. All right I went for gavel, well it kind of feels different but then again, difference may not be bad. It just occured to me that it's been a long while since I didn't have to shuffle between CCAs on tuesday. It has also been some time since jaryl nicholas ernest and I last sat at the back with all our random exclaimations.

I figured that I've had enough of packed food or just eating out. It's been like this for as long as I can remember, 2 years 4 years? I don't know, too long to backtrack. Strolled over to NTUC to get stuff before coming home to cook spaghetti myself. Is it an idoit proof thing to do? Not always but it turned out kind all right (:

Nothing on my mind to unload, I shall leave now(:

standing stopping, pausing pondering.
too many people entering and exiting our lives,
leaving an imprint but they do not stay, countless times it fades away.

long weekends give me an excuse to sleep in. However, the after effect would be that I'll realised how much I haven't done at the end of three days and end up frantic.

friends only post on lj (:

2.5 months of practise boiled down to 15mins on stage. Most have already started way before that and it has finally came to a closure today. I assume you already know RJCO got Gold.

We could have done better. I could have done a lot harder. However this isn't going to change the SYF results. It certainly isn't for us to pinpoint and blame anyone now, because friends who made mistakes did it unintentionally and would already know where they've gone wrong. It's rather a time for us to reflect and find out ways to improve and run the next lap during CO Concert.

That said, I am really glad to be playing on stage with people who take pride in their playing and are on a constant pursuit for excellence. Musical notes aren't merely sounds we make, but the music that conveys our emotions to the audience. 4th and final SYF I took part in, but the feeling is still the same. It has been more than merely a cca but also a group with a common passion(: This is probably one of the reasons why when I had to decide between ccas, it has never really been an option to leave the group.

You may think gold is no big deal, you may think I don't play well. You may think otherwise.

However where I stand today wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the people that have been standing by me all these while and encouraging me to pick myself up time and again after I fail.
  • RJCO tanbo, who had given me the opportunity to join SYF & who stayed back countless times to teach me
  • Dad & Mum, for sending me to and fro from CO everyday
  • 10A01B + 10A01D + O'lehleh, for being really supportive and encouraging & for helping me catch up with homework; particularly Joey Kendra Kevin YuTian
  • Everyone else who sent their regards, well-wishes, comforting words (ie michelle louise nigel mifiona HHMerchandiseGroup)
Thank You :D

& separately: Intrusion of personal space is something that I believe is very, very, irritating. Flaws on my part, I don't particularly respond much in such scenerios. If you spot such traits, do give me some space. thanks.

Much ado about Labour Day
Saturday, May 02, 2009, 5/02/2009 09:18:00 PM
Additional bits of Orchestra practise left the tune of the melody in my head.
(Haha. Did I mention that I didn't have to use an ipod during 2.4km because the SYF pieces were on replay mode in my head? :O )
It kind of reminds me for nhgz syf days; currently still lacking some degree of commitment and dynamics. For me, it probably includes skills too.

Peeling fingers, hearts
to0 numb to feel. All I ask
for is faith today.

4more days to SYF,
4more days to perfect things,
4more days that would tell if our efforts paid off.

PS: I believe I haven't mentioned that I am really awed by CheeYeow's proposal for HHHseC for our group. Sorry I was away yesterday, but I think the group is filled with awesome people & whether or not we get in (Of course it'll be great if we did!), I hope this project would be a success :D All the best & let's make this work -- Que, Hang, FangYi, NgMay, Me, Varun, JoshuaF, CheeYeow.
PS again: I think I haven't been doing my part for PW. Time to start working now. I certainly think I have a fabulous group here too -- DingDings: Yutian Clinton Norman Me.
