MAGELLAN!

This is the group of fabulous people that stayed with me through thick & thin over the past five days in Pulau Ubin! We slept in the same tents (not all in one HAHA!), shared the same food, had expeditions over the same routes & probably gained a greater insight to life & leadership.

It wasn't exactly the typical youth group camp nor was it like some sort of school camp with station games & bonding activities. Instead, it consisted of expeditions(land&sea), living in 4 different camping conditions & having reflections that allowed us to find out more about ourselves.

There are alot of memories & experiences to take home with. I know I freaked out at 5am in the tent when Christin told me that there was a centipede above me. I remember how everyone stared at the not-very-clean water bottles & were very hesitant to use them at first (although we had to make do in the end). I won't forget how people's morale went low when we had to kayak against the tide through the storm & towards the end of journey; & when we had to carry bagpacks over 15kg while trekking over 10km. I felt great when we did our jetty jump & acknowledgements & apologies for it cleared the air of many misunderstandings.
